Zavi turns 3 months!

Yes.. we know, there hasn't been much activity on my blog, but I've been busy growing, smiling, being super cute, and giving my parents a run for their money.

I can now smile, hold my head well, and sit well in my blue bumbo chair. I now weigh 11 pounds, and have a cute double chin :)

Zavi turns 2 months!

Zavi turned 2 months on Tuesday! She's getting to be a chub, chub and super cute :)

Grandma Raya (Baba Raya) arrived a week ago. It has been quiet a wirlwind. Since she has not cared for a newborn in a very long time, it has been a learning experience. Nevertheless, she is getting the hang of it.

Bath Time

Our Zavi LOVES being in her Tummy Tub. Aside from eating, I'd say it's her other favorite activity.

Baby Blues

Zavi is definitely taking on blue color eyes. They are really pretty. Her hair is also getting redder. She's super cute. Although she likes to guzzle her milk and than gets fussy, we're enjoying every minute. Here are some latest pics.

Zahava is starting to smile.. it's super cute. We think Auntie Shoshie has inspired her!

Zavi with G MZ Z

G Ma Z was the first grand parent that Zavi met. Zavi and her parents really appreciated G Ma's help and Zavi took on a liking of G Ma Z when she was a little peanut.

Growing Zavi

Well, Zavi is definitely filling out and packing on the pounds.

She now weighs 7 pounds, 4 ounces at 5 weeks. She is super cute and we're enjoying her immensely. She looks like a combination of us but as you all know, she will change a lot.

Welcome to my Blog

Well,

Many of you have asked us to start a blog about Zahava. This blog replaces the "pooper zakem in the oven blog," although Zavi does poop a lot! We're sorry we haven't been able to set up a blog yet; life has been rather hectic since Zahave Haya Frances Zakem entered into the world a month early on September 24th. Tomorrow is her "4 week" birthday. She is an adorable baby; however, a bit fussy and loves to keep her parents up at night (and grand parents too when they have visited, to the point that it has taken GP Zakems a full week to fully recover :) We seem to have day and night confused.. oy. we hope this gets resolved sooner rather than later! We just got a vibrator for the crib, and are praying that it works..

Zavi can't get enough of food. Since her growth was somewhat stopped inside the womb, I think she is trying to make up for it. She was born, weighing 5 pounds, 4 ounces. When we brought her home, she was only 4 pounds, 12 ounces. Now, she is 6 pounds, 4 ounces.. hopefully she'll catch up soon with the weight.
